Work on a distributed compute network, focused on developer experience and the documentation that shapes it.

Lilypad is a decentralised compute network that lets anyone run a Docker container across a distributed set of providers. My work on it focused on user experience and documentation, making the platform reachable for developers and businesses who were not already inside it.

What I contributed

  • Worked with the development team to identify and document the core use cases
  • Wrote the documentation explaining how to use the distributed compute capabilities
  • Helped articulate what the platform was for, per user segment
  • Improved the onboarding path for new users

What it runs on

  • Docker, so any containerised workload can run on the network
  • The Filecoin Virtual Machine, providing the decentralised compute resources
  • Bacalhau, powering the distributed computing itself
  • A Go implementation on the backend
